Martha McCully Martha's work includes three seasons as a celebrity judge on HGTV's highest rated hit series 'Design Star,' with the latest season airing this summer. She also held the post of Executive Editor at InStyle magazine for the past six years. Under her leadership, InStyle experienced some of its strongest growth and clearly emerged as one of the nation's most successful consumer lifestyle publications whose brand now extends to InStyle Weddings, InStyle.com, and several published books. Currently, Martha heads up MMc Media, a consulting firm that helps a number of beauty and lifestyle companies achieve greater success through smart branding and positioning. Martha is also the Director of the Project A.L.S. Women and the Brain Speaker Series, where leading scientists discuss topics relating to brain health in a public forum. Previously, Martha was a contributing editor of Elle Decor magazine, producing and writing feature stories including a widely read diary of her own house renovation. She was also the creator and Executive Producer of Picky.com, the style site of Oxygen Media. Martha's editorial experience includes the past position of Editorial Director of Gloss.com, a beauty site owned jointly by The Estee Lauder Companies, Chanel, and Clarins. She was also a founding editor and beauty director of Allure magazine and the author of a monthly column, "What Martha Would Do." Prior to that she was the Marketing Services Director at GQ. Martha possesses the unique ability to not only understand, develop and drive lifestyle brands; she also can effectively represent them. Her work as a writer and TV personality has resulted in coverage in Travel+Leisure, Vogue, Elle, and The New York Times Styles section. She has appeared on NBC Today, ABC's Good Morning America, Oprah, The View, CNN, and Entertainment Tonight. She also co-wrote a book on heart disease, "The Heart Revolution" (Harper Collins, 1999).
